Vintage Cars in Cabourg

Vintage car displays are crowd-pullers across Normandy and, after a fine one at Crèvecoeur earlier in the spring, Cabourg played host to one this weekend which attracted large numbers of people. There are a range of familiar class French cars, including at least four Citroen 2CVs, a DS, a Traction and an older model from the 1920s or 30s. There was an unusual BMW bubble-style car and a fabulous pink Cadillac, one of the undoubted stars of the show.

Other eye-catchers included a classic Mini, a Morgan and a scarlet MG. Cabourg is delightful at all times of year, but on a sunny June weekend with people thronging the streets and a holiday atmosphere it is hard to beat.
