Le Fresnot is a traditional half-timbered farmhouse surrounded by apple trees, and is typical of the Pays d’Auge region.
It is a few kilometres from Livarot, home of one of the region’s famous cheeses, and 8 km from the bustling town of St Pierre sur Dives, renowned for its lively weekly food market and its medieval market hall and abbey.
The house is surrounded by a large garden with a small pond and an orchard, with views out over the countryside.
It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the rural calm of Normandy, especially for nature lovers
who have the opportunity to spot more than 80 species of birds including the resident buzzards.
There are many places to visit within a short distance, including vast sandy beaches only a 45 minute drive away, historic chateaux and sites like the Normandy landing beaches around Bayeux, plus activities nearby including canoeing, sailing, riding and tennis.
