The Chateau de Falaise, birthplace of William the Conqueror, has brought the Norman era to life with a highly imaginative 360 degree digital recreation of the castle. Visitors can follow the story on a "histopad" (an iPad with an interactive historical display) while also watching holograms reenact events from the perspective of major characters involved, including Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine.
